Graduate Medical Education at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is home to a broad and accomplished alumni community of more than 22,000 former resident and fellow trainees, representing a wide range of specialties and subspecialties and playing critical roles in academic medicine, clinical care, research, and health system leadership. Their training at Mount Sinai reflects a shared commitment to excellence, collaboration, and advancing patient care through innovation and scholarship.

Through networking opportunities, mentorship, and engagement initiatives, alumni remain connected to their departments and the institution and to one another throughout their careers.

Message From the Dean

Many alumni maintain their strongest ties to Mount Sinai through Graduate Medical Education, and for good reason. Mount Sinai sponsors the largest GME program in the country, with all programs fully accredited. In 2025 alone, residents and fellows published close to 1,000 scholarly contributions in peer-reviewed journals—a testament to the intellectual energy of our trainees and the faculty who mentor them.
