WHAT AREA OF MEDICINE ARE YOU INTERESTED IN PURSUING? HOW WILL YOUR ICAHN MOUNT SINAI EDUCATION PREPARE YOU FOR A SUCCESSFUL CAREER?

Obstetrics and gynecology. I have experienced excellent training in clerkships in OB/GYN, have been exposed to high acuity and diverse cases, and have been able to meet many mentors in the field.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE CLASS YOU HAVE TAKEN SO FAR?

I really enjoyed taking the GI course. I thought it was incredibly interesting, and what I learned has been applicable to many rotations in the hospital.

WHAT EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ARE YOU INVOLVED IN AT ICAHN MOUNT SINAI?

I am the leader to our East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership’s gynecology clinic. This has been the most important educational experience of my past three years. It has taught me more about medicine, myself, and the type of physician I want to be than anything else.
