Nominations are now being accepted for the Jacobi Medallion, the highest honor bestowed by The Mount Sinai Alumni Association. We encourage you to nominate your outstanding colleagues, current or former, who would be most worthy of receiving this prestigious award. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Plaza Hotel from 6-9 pm.

The Jacobi Medallion honors a member of the Mount Sinai community who, through long-term service (typically 10 years or more), has made exceptional contributions to the fields of clinical medicine or biomedical research, or education has exemplified extraordinary dedication to Mount Sinai. The names of previous awardees can be found here. Please view the celebration of this year’s Jacobi Medalists here.

The Mount Sinai community consists of a highly accomplished and impressive group of physicians, scientists, and educators, many of whom are worthy of the Jacobi Medallion. We also encourage the submission of outstanding alumni candidates, including biomedical scientists, health professionals, full-time faculty, and voluntary faculty.

Nominate your colleagues who personify excellence in the Mount Sinai tradition, as physicians who provide excellent clinical care, and physicians and scientists who make outstanding contributions to educating our students and residents, and in their basic science and clinical investigations.

Below you will indicate one of the following categories for your nominee:

  • Achievements in Biomedical Science for basic, clinical, and translational research

  • Achievements in Education for contributions to clinical or basic science education

  • Master Clinician who personifies Mount Sinai’s tradition of clinical excellence and breakthroughs

  • Exceptional Contributions to Mount Sinai and its mission.

Submit your nominations by Friday, September 13th, at 5 pm. You may nominate up to four candidates. Questions about the awards or the form? Contact alumni [at] mssm.edu (alumni[at]mssm[dot]edu).
