Shailaja Uttamsingh, Ph.D. is a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive and venture advisor with over 20 years of experience in oncology drug development and life sciences investing. She is a clinical strategic advisor to several cancer therapeutics accelerators, life sciences venture capital firms and early-stage start-up companies.
She most recently served as Partner and Head of Clinical and Translational Sciences at Bioluminescence Ventures (BLV) ($477M AUM), where she led scientific and clinical diligence and guided portfolio companies on development strategy, partnering, and value creation.
Previously, Dr. Uttamsingh held senior leadership roles at Exelixis, Celgene (now Bristol Myers Squibb), Oncomed, Genentech, and Amgen, driving clinical development, medical affairs, and lifecycle management across oncology modalities including ADCs, cell therapies, immunotherapies, and small molecules. She also co-led strategic collaborations with pharmaceutical partners and worked closely with business development teams on opportunity assessments, diligence, and in-licensing strategy.
