Justin E. Bird ISMMS '04, MSH '09
Dr. Bird is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Oncology at MD Anderson. He specializes in surgical treatment of complex spine and pelvic tumors, he has a strong clinical practice using 3D and computer-assisted technology for tumor resections. He directs the Learning Cancer Outcomes Research Program and serves as the Division of Surgery Innovation Safety Officer. He is also the founding Director of the IDEAS Lab @ MD Anderson, leading efforts in surgical innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration. His work emphasizes outcomes research and the development of new technologies to improve patient care.
