Timothy Hoang earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago, where he studied public policy, before enrolling at Icahn Mount Sinai. He counts his first-year Structures class as his favorite course in medical school thus far due to the immense clinical knowledge he gained and the ways in which this course emphasized the delicate balance between life and death, as well as the role physicians play in navigating this balance. Timothy is an active member of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association and is involved in research on age-related orthopedic issues with Dr. James Iatridis and his laboratory team. Timothy is especially interested in discovering less invasive therapeutic solutions for degenerative disc disorders, namely for older patients.
“The impact of your support extends beyond just the financial aspect, and it serves as a daily reminder that there are individuals like you who believe in aspiring physicians like me. This motivates me to give my best, to continue learning, and to aspire to be the best doctor that I can be for my future patients.”
