Return, Reconnect, and Rediscover
The 2016 Alumni Reunion and Alumni Awards Ceremony held on May 13 afforded over 100
alumni and guests the opportunity to reconnect and reminisce with classmates, colleagues,
and friends, and to reflect on the extraordinary growth and reach of the Mount Sinai Health System.
Attendees were welcomed by David Muller, MD, MSSM ’95, Dean for Medical Education, and
participated in lectures from faculty members about the latest innovations and programs at

medical education is like at Mount Sinai today; Yasmin S. Meah, MD, MSSM ’01, who educated
attendees about the East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership (EHHOP); and Suzanne Garfinkle, MD,
MSSM ’06, who led an interactive lecture called The Art of Listening, accompanied by a live band.
Following the faculty lectures, alumni enjoyed dinner, a keynote address by Theodore Christopher, MD,
