Mr. Davis (left), 43, is the executive vice president of the James Beard Foundation in New York. He is the author of four cookbooks, including "Kitchen Sense: More than 600 Recipes to Make You a Great Home Cook,” and is the host of "Taste Matters,” a weekly radio program on Heritage Radio Network, an Internet radio station. He graduated with distinction from Cornell and received a doctorate in food studies from New York University.
Mr. Davis is a son of the late Sondra Davis and the late Robert C. Davis, who lived in Toronto.
Dr. Goldstein, 40, specializes in geriatric and palliative medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is also engaged in a research project at the hospital on patient-doctor communication regarding implanted cardiac devices. He is an associate professor at Mount Sinai’s School of Medicine, from which he received a medical degree. Dr. Goldstein is an executive officer on the board of Congregation Beth Simchat Torah, a synagogue in New York. He graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College in Northfield, Minn.
