Dr. Elizabeth Ann Kirkham and James Henry Clippard III were married Saturday afternoon at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Larchmont, N.Y. The Rev. Thomas E. Nicoll, the church’s rector, performed the ceremony.
The bride, 28, who goes by Becky, will continue to use her name professionally. She is a third-year resident in the pediatrics department of the children’s hospital at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury and received a medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
She is a daughter of Ann L. Kirkham and D. Collier Kirkham of Larchmont. Her father retired as a partner in Cravath, Swaine & Moore, the New York law firm. He is on the vestry of St. John’s Church. Her mother retired as a teacher at the church’s nursery school.
The bridegroom, 33, is a senior associate at Prospect Capital Management in New York. He concentrates on investments in privately held companies. He graduated from Cornell and received an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
He is the son of Margaret P. Clippard of Memphis and the late Mr. Clippard Jr. The bridegroom’s mother, who is retired, was a real estate agent in the Chappaqua, N.Y., office of Holmes & Kennedy Real Estate. His father was the senior vice president for investor relations at Federal Express. He worked in Memphis.
