Local physician elected president of Greater Bridgeport Medical Association

Local physician elected president of Greater Bridgeport Medical Association in June 2009
Christopher Iannuzzi, MD, a resident of Wilton, has been elected president of the Greater Bridgeport Medical Association.
 Dr. Iannuzzi, board certified in radiation oncology, is in private practice at St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he was recently named vice chairman of oncology. Iannuzzi received his undergraduate degree from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts and completed his medical education at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He served his internship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston and his residency at Mount Sinai. Recognized for his outstanding cancer work, Dr. Iannuzzi was honored by the American Cancer Society of Fairfield County in March 2007 with their "Star of Hope” award.
The Greater Bridgeport Medical Association has united doctors of the greater Bridgeport area for over 12 years. The Association membership consists of physicians affiliated with St. Vincent’s Medical Center and/or Bridgeport Hospital, and represents a cross section of all medical specialties. The Association’s mission includes making a positive contribution to the community through financial support, and more importantly, through physician participation in organizations and projects that provide a benefit to the community.
