Among the services provided by, the nation’s largest online community of physicians, is a ranking of residency programs across the country. Doximity helps to determine the ranking of our residency programs using alumni-generated metrics, including program satisfaction ratings, alumni clinical trial percentile, and board certification rates. For more information on Doximity’s research methodology, click here

The 2017-2018 residency satisfaction and nomination survey period has begun. From now until June 15, physicians can take part in the following surveys:

1. The residency satisfaction survey, sent to current residents and recent alumni who are verified Doximity members, asks about the residency program experience. These responses are anonymized and may become available to applicants in late summer.

2. The residency nominations survey, sent to board certified physicians, permits up to five nominations of programs that provide the best clinical training in their specialty. Results are then weighted to construct an analysis that is nationally representative of the opinions of board certified physicians in that specialty.

To participate, physicians who meet eligibility criteria can look for an email from Doximity, login to, or open the Doximity mobile application.

For those who have already enrolled in Doximity, please log in to review your profile. Confirm that information is accurate, including your medical school; residency and fellowship programs; specialty board status; and awards, publications, and grants.

If you have not signed up for Doximity, a free, online professional network that provides networking opportunities, enables patient referrals, facilitates CME credits, and allows you to rate residency programs, we recommend you do so using the instructions below.

We encourage all faculty, residents, and alumni to participate in and support the increased rankings of Mount Sinai residency programs.
