Appointment of Christine D. Mahoney, MS, RN, CCRN, AGACNP-BC, as Interim Chief Nursing Officer

We are pleased to share that Christine D. Mahoney, MS, RN, CCRN, AGACNP-BC, has been named Interim Chief Nursing Officer for Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Ms. Mahoney will oversee clinical and administrative operations for Patient Care Services at MSBI while the hospital conducts a national executive search for a permanent CNO.   
 

Ms. Mahoney has been Senior Director of Patient Care Services at Mount Sinai Beth Israel since last August. She joined Beth Israel Medical Center in 2009 and worked as a nurse manager for six years and then as Director of Patient Care Services. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Clinical Nurse Manager at The Mount Sinai Hospital and as a staff nurse in the Medical Intensive Care unit at Beth Israel Medical Center. She has also held nursing roles at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and at NYU Medical Center.


Ms. Mahoney holds an MS in Adult Health Nursing from Hunter College, and a Post-Master’s Statutory Certificate for the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Columbia University.
