Dr. Risa Small '08 Gets Married!

Alumnae Risa Small Gets Married to Joshua Wolf

Dr. Risa Michelle Small and Dr. Joshua Harris Wolf are to be married Sunday at Congregation Beth El, in Voorhees, N.J. Rabbi Shmuel Silber will officiate at the ceremony in which Rabbi Jay Kornsgold is to take part.

The bride, 27, will be taking her husband’s surname. She is a second-year resident in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

She is the daughter of Sheila L. Small and Leonard G. Small of East Windsor, N.J. Her father is a home-improvements contractor there. Her mother works in Basking Ridge, N.J., as the assistant treasurer for risk management and insurance at Verizon Communications; she is responsible for the global property and insurance programs for the company.

The bridegroom, 28, is a second-year resident in general surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He graduated cum laude from Yale and received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine.

He is a son of Faith Wolf and Dr. Edward Wolf of Baltimore. The bridegroom’s mother is the chief financial officer of Woodholme Gastroenterology Associates there, a group practice of which his father, a gastroenterologist, is the president.
