We are delighted to share that Leslyn E. Williamson, DNP, MSN, MPH, RN, has been appointed Vice President, Patient Care Services, for Mount Sinai Brooklyn, effective Monday, August 1.
In this role, Dr. Williamson will focus on staff and leadership development, improving quality and patient experience outcomes, and transforming the work environment through staff engagement.
Dr. Williamson has more than 25 years of health care experience in a variety of roles. She has served as the Director of Patient Care Services at Mount Sinai Beth Israel since 2014, where she has worked on many quality initiatives that enhanced throughput and increased efficiencies. Previously, she was Director of Inpatient Services at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, New York, and held a variety of positions at Montefiore Medical Center from 2003-2013.
Dr. Williamson earned her DNP from Rutgers University, her MSN from Mercy College, and an MPH from New York Medical College. She is certified as a Nurse Executive, Advanced through the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the New York Organization of Nurse Executives, and the Nursing Advisory Board at Mercy College.
