Valentin Fuster, MD, PhD, Director of Mount Sinai Heart, was honored by The New York Academy of Medicine as the 2016 Urban Health Champion at its 22nd Anniversary Gala, "Healthy Cities, Better Lives" on June 14, for his global leadership over the past four decades as a scientist, educator, and advocate in advancing the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease worldwide.
