The Mount Sinai Health System has been recognized as a CIO 100 Award Winner by CIO magazine, and is a recipient of the prestigious 2016 CIO 100 Awards because of the institution’s highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology.

"The implementation of our Health Information Exchange (HIE) Portal provides continuity of care for patients regardless of where they enter the health system, which has always been our goal,” said Kumar Chatani, MBA, chief information officer of the Mount Sinai Health System.

"Mount Sinai is committed to developing and implementing innovative IT solutions that help us provide distinguished care to our patients," said Kenneth L. Davis, MD, President and CEO of the Mount Sinai Health System.

Executives from the winning companies will be recognized at The CIO 100 Symposium & Awards Ceremony, to be held Tuesday evening, August 16th, at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
