Doximity.com, the online network for health professionals, is conducting reputational nominating this month for its Residency Navigator tool. This tool is intended to help medical students make informed residency decisions and to increase transparency in the residency match process. Last year, nearly 75 percent of all senior medical students used Doximity to research the programs where they would train as new physicians.
All board certified physicians who are registered on doximity.com are eligible to list up to five top residency programs in their specialty. Physicians may not nominate programs outside their current specialty. The five nominations are not in ranked order and you may list anywhere between one and five programs in total. We hope you will include Mount Sinai’s programs in your list, to help increase our national reputation and help connect top candidates with our nationally recognized programs.
Online nominating is available through Thursday, June 30. Physicians registered on doximity.com should log in and look for a banner reading, “Submit your nominations for the top [INSERT SPECIALTY] residency program” at the top of the page. Click on this banner to begin the survey.
Doximity.com will refresh the tool in August to reflect the results of this summer’s survey.
Residency Navigator is comprised of three major parts: (1) satisfaction survey of current residents and recent graduates of a program, usually conducted in late summer or early autumn; (2) reputation data (i.e. the results of the current survey); and (3) objective data, including top subspecialties by alumni, board pass rates, percent board certified, and percentiles for alumni publications and clinical trials. If you have not yet registered with doximity.com, please follow the steps below to create an account. This will not only allow you to immediately nominate Mount Sinai residency programs, but will also allow you to participate in future U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” and “Best Children’s Hospitals” Rankings.
