Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Ranks 15th in NIH Funding

We are proud to report that Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) has climbed to rank 15th among medical schools nationwide in National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding.*  Congratulations go to our entire research community for the remarkable scientific work conducted at our school.  The high level of extramural support underscores the value of our research programs and reflects the significant recognition and respect we have earned from peers at other academic institutions and the NIH. 

 

Our stature as a “top 15” recipient of NIH grant awards is closely linked to the outstanding performance of our individual departments and institutes.  Twelve ISMMS departments are among the “top 20” for NIH funding in their disciplines:
