For the fourth year in a row, Mount Sinai will partner with the Aspen Institute for the 2016 Aspen Ideas Festival, being held June 23-July 2 in Aspen, Colorado. The Aspen Ideas Festival, http://www.aspenideas.org, is an annual event where leaders from around the globe and across many disciplines gather to engage in lectures, panels, and intensive discussion of the ideas and issues that shape our lives and challenge our times.
This year, the Aspen Institute has partnered with the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower Medical Center to offer continuing medical education (CME) credit for physicians attending the Spotlight Health segment of the festival, which is June 23-26. Spotlight Health is the opening segment of the festival and focuses on cutting-edge health issues through conversation, stories, films, interactive activities, and more. This portion of the festival is designated for a maximum of 46 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences has been awarded six-year accreditation with commendation, the highest level of accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.
Physicians interested in attending Spotlight Health for CME credit may purchase a pass here: http://www.aspenideas.org/festival/register. More than 80 Spotlight Health sessions will be offered, some running concurrently. Physicians may attend as many or as few sessions as they are interested, either in or outside their current field of study.
Along with conference materials, you will receive a link to the Annenberg Center’s learning management system, which will assist you in claiming credit for the sessions you attended during the forum. The number of credits received per session will vary based on the length and content of each session. Typically they equate to 1.5 credits per 90-minute session. There are no additional fees for claiming CME credit once you register for the festival pass. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
For additional questions regarding receiving CME credit for Spotlight Health attendance, please contact Charles Willis, Director, Continuing Education at the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower Medical Center at firstname.lastname@example.org or (760) 773-4294.
