Friday, January 29, 2016
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Rose Marie Liguigli as Vice President for Benefits, HRIS, Workforce Data and Analytics, at the Mount Sinai Health System.
Ms. Liguigli joined Mount Sinai in 1992 as a Benefits Manager in Human Resources, where she was responsible for the development of flexible benefit plans for faculty and nonunion staff. In 1996, she relocated with her family to St. Maarten where she worked at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine as the Administrator in the Department of Government Affairs. Upon her return to the United States in 1999, she joined Mount Sinai as the Director of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
In 2003, as part of a multidisciplinary team, Ms. Liguigli played a key role in the development of the Human Resources Transaction System (HRTS), an automated workflow process which decreased Human Resource average transaction processing time from 30 calendar days to 72 hours. Ms. Liguigli has continued to collaborate with the team over the years to improve and expand HRTS, which now includes the Position Control approval process, Employee Self Service and staff performance appraisals.
By 2004, Ms. Liguigli’s scope of responsibility had expanded to include implementation and administration of all Mount Sinai benefit programs and associated regulatory compliance, benefits vendor management, and day-to-day administration of all health and welfare plans. In 2014, Ms. Liguigli left Mount Sinai to become the Director of Human Resources at New York Hospital Queens-New York Presbyterian Healthcare System. She was recruited back to Mount Sinai as Senior Director of Special Projects this past summer.
Ms. Liguigli has three decades of experience in Human Resource management and in-depth knowledge of benefits forecasting, design, implementation and administration, and information systems. In her new role, Ms. Liguigli will be responsible for benefits planning and administration for the health system and the continued integration of HR data structure and definitions in HRIS. She will lead the development of unified HR work streams across all seven Mount Sinai hospitals to improve the delivery of workforce analytics.
Please join us in congratulating Ms. Liguigli in her new role.
