A Top Medical School Revamps Requirements To Lure English Majors

 

 

Recently, David Muller, MD, Dean for Medical Education, and the Marietta and Charles C. Morchand Chair for Medical Education, was featured in an article and podcast on NPR’s Shots and All Things Considered, discussing the value of the Humanities in Medicine program which was pioneered at Mount Sinai almost 30 years ago and accepts medical students who have non-traditional liberal arts backgrounds.

In recognition of its comprehensive efforts aimed at ensuring a diverse workforce and leadership, the Mount Sinai Health System was recently named to DiversityInc’s Top Five Hospitals and Health Systems list for 2015.

A Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, a pioneer in health care information technology, an ethics expert who influenced national health policy, and a Nobel Prize-winning neurologist were honored at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai’s 46th annual commencement.

Reunion 2016

 

 

Extending a special welcome to the reunion classes of 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, and 2011. We will also honor our former house staff and attending physicians. All alumni are welcome to attend.
