New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai Achieves Second Consecutive Magnet Designation
Wednesday, October 29, 2014
We are pleased to announce that New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai (NYEE) has received its second consecutive Magnet® Recognition designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). NYEE is the only eye and ear specialty hospital in the United States to have received this recognition.
Magnet designation is considered the highest recognition for nursing excellence, and fewer than eight percent of hospitals nationwide have received this designation. Earlier this year, The Mount Sinai Hospital was honored with this recognition for the third time, with Mount Sinai Queens, the Queens campus of The Mount Sinai Hospital, included in the designation.
We thank all NYEE nursing leadership and nursing staff who participated in the recent site survey. Magnet designation is an unparalleled honor that recognizes a culture of caring, collaboration, and excellence that is central to how we serve our communities.
On behalf of the entire Mount Sinai Health System we congratulate the NYEE nursing community on its unwavering commitment to deliver compassionate and professional care to our patients.
